When will my order ship? generally ships all in stock product within 2-3 business days upon receipt of the order. Orders placed after 8AM (EST) will not be processed until the following business day. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are not considered business days. If an order is placed that includes an item not currently in stock, we generally hold the entire order until that item becomes available.

Your order may be shipped in two separate shipments depending on the availability of the items in your order.

Any order for an item that is not yet available from the record label or distributor will be shipped when the item is released. We will not complete the charge to your account for an order until the date of shipment.

Pre-ordered product will be shipped out as the release date approaches. ships pre-ordered product for arrival as close to the release date as is possible. Pre-ordered product is not guaranteed to arrive on the release date. Please note the Paypal authorization limit is approximately 30 days. If you use PayPal to place a pre-order, we may require you to re-submit payment at the time of shipping, due to PayPal's policy.

Based on new law Assembly Bill No. 1570, Sound Garden no longer ships autographed items to the state of California.

For insurance and security purposes with orders exceeding a product total of $150.00, any standard orders will be shipped UPS Ground and any expedited orders will be shipped UPS 3-Day-Select.*

We will not open sealed LPs before shipping as, once opened, they can no longer be sold as new if the product is returned. All of our records are shipped in a sturdy, padded vinyl mailer.

All packages ship from Baltimore, Maryland.

What shipping methods do you offer?

Any delivery estimates provided the by USPS and DHL Global Mail are simply estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not able to guarantee specific delivery dates.

International Shipping Policies ships international orders via DHL Global Mail to the following countries and territories - American Samoa, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

The Sound Garden limits all international orders to a maximum $150.00 product total.

International customers may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from, you are considered the importer of the item and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. Some items for sale are unavailable for shipping internationally.

Generally, customs forms for international packages will list the value of your order's contents by product type. International customers and customers shipping products internationally should be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

What is your return policy?

We cannot make exchanges via will gladly accept returns on any defective item in its original condition within 30 days of the purchase date for a full refund. UNOPENED items may be returned within 30 days for a refund less shipping costs. does not accept returns of any opened items or worn garments. We will replace defective merchandise with another copy of the same item.

Purchases made at may only be returned at our on-line store. The Sound Garden retail locations will not accept a return of an on-line purchase. Items purchased from a Sound Garden retail location may not be returned on-line.

We regret that we are unable to refund any shipping charges unless the return is a result of our error.

Are the prices on the web site the same as the stores?

Prices on do not reflect pricing in Sound Garden retail locations. Website inventory does not reflect the inventory of any of our retail locations.

Will I be charged sales tax?

New internet commerce laws are such that we are required to charge sales tax in states where we are considered to have a retail presence. Because there are warehouses in your state from where we have orders that are shipped, we are considered to have a retail presence there, and as such are required to charge sales tax on all orders from your state. We can assure you the sales tax you were charged is indeed being paid directly to your state.

Sales tax will be charged on items shipping to the following states (additional local city & county taxes may apply):

Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indianna, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Orders shipping to outside the United States may be subject to international import fees, taxes, or tarries which are levied once a shipment reaches your country – Sound Garden is not responsible in the case that additional charges apply. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; please contact your local customs office for information.

Are all of your products in stock?

Because of changing availability in our dynamic warehouse any item ordered at may require more than 2-5 days to fulfill. Some products may no longer be available. If an item is no longer available the order for that item would be cancelled. Please also note that all Vinyl, CD, and other new release information including new release availability dates and product information is subject to change at any time. We reserve the right to limit quantities on any transaction to one and to cancel any order for any reason at any time. This is a retail consumer site and we do not sell to dealers.
